San Juan Capistrano, Orange County
Los Rios Street, across the railroad tracks from the mission in San Juan Capistrano, is often called the oldest continuously occupied neighborhood in California. The Rios Adobe has been home to the same family since 1794. Trains still stop at the 1894 depot between the two, and the surrounding valley remains horse country, with stables and riding trails along San Juan Creek.
